Van buren drive in swap meet. But that all goes out the window with ghetto ass families there.
The security really needs to do a walk through and make sure ppl aren't setting up an entire fucken party across 5 empty parking spots all front and center. When they only have 2 cars with them. Kids running around screaming and playing with flashing lights in front of your car. Kids also running around barefooted in and out of the restroom this was more gross then annoying common man it's a public outdoor restroom In summary, security really needs to walk through once or twice during a movie to make sure everyone is acting like decent human being and if you are gunna have an entire picnic go to the back.
Every other screen is bad quality, If you're watching a scary movie or anything dark, you wont see anything. I would come every so often with my family growing up.
I told me boyfriend that we should go for our anniversary. The radio went staticky.
I looked at the other screens and the projectors were off for those too. Sucks because I was looking forward to the full experience.
Regardless of this, great place. We enjoyed ourselves and it is a fun experience. I've been to this drive in more times than I can count and it's been absolutely amazing. I drive from southern Orange County to come here. Today, there is probably about 30 people here, all related with just as many kids. In fact, I can hear a full conversation about all their upcoming plans, their beef with their cousins boyfriends ex baby mama and you get my point.
Between movies, I talked to both management as well as security So here we are on hour 3 with screaming kids and yelling parents. Personally, if I was management I would have thrown them all out during movie one. I forgot to check in because I was having sooooo much fun! We brought in our own food and I was sketchy about how the bathrooms were but
Van buren drive in swap meet my surprise they were clean. Cause I always have to take bathroom break in between the movie and I was hoping it wasn't gonna be a porta-potty experience because my butt is too high maintenance as so I'm told!
Lol but this bathroom was clean and fine. I was sooo happy not to hear no crying baby's or loud people. I had my windows rolled up and it's just you and the sound system in your car.
You can drown out the people around you if you want! I will not be returning to a regular theatre after this experience! I love drive ins, but I hope all the bathrooms will be clean!
Awesome place for the family. Beats the prices of a Matinee. You can bring your own chairs, food, drinks, and blankets. The cool thing is, it doesn't want be. It's a drive in, and it's different, and it's fun when you have kids with you.
It about the fun factor here, and we had a fun time, just enjoying a movie through the car window and everyone else either sitting on the hood of the car or on lawn chairs in the open space in front, enjoying the night air. Temperature was perfect for a night outside.
One of the tastiest Carne Asada burrito you'll find anywhere with freshly grilled beef in the snack bar. Nachos were good as well. Plus you can bring your own drinks and snacks or five course meal if you wanted. That's part of the fun factor. You will not get the best quality picture or sound or quiet neighbors. But you'll remember the fun Van buren drive in swap meet went with my boyfriend for our anniversary and we had so
Van buren drive in swap meet fun.
It's a perfect place for a date as you can just lay down in the trunk of your car or you can bring chairs and your own food. I highly recommend If you ever have nothing to do on a Friday or Saturday with family and friends, look no further!
One of the only places left where you feel old school, and get to kick back on some chairs, have a hot dog, and watch movies outside with the family!!! We went to see Winnie The Pooh: Christopher Robbins Disney's movie with the family.
Great outdoor movie so you can enjoy being outside and "Van buren drive in swap meet" inside a movie theatre. We brought kabob for dinner, drinks and snacks. For me being from the east coast i've never been to a drive in theatre, but for a first timer my experience was amazing! After my first time i can't understand why someone would ever go to an actual theatre again!
Yes that's right they have back to back showings! I went to see The Incredibles 2 excellent movie imho. My wife and I always enjoy the drive in theater, but here's my review of the theater itself overall Things they got right: Snack bar prices are great Food quality is excellent Clean as a whistle Newly repaved Projection and radio transmission system work great Items I feel should be improved: Traffic flow after the movie it took many of us 40 minutes to reach the exit gate!
That much is unacceptable, especially if an emergency occurs Bottom line, getting there to watch the movie was easy What can I say?
As old as it is, it's still a great time! Under the stars, watching what you want, eating and drinking your favorite foods if you bring it. That doesn't take away from the snack bar here which is really good. Van buren drive in swap meet cheap, fun, and if you have a truck than you are winning. Wether it's a family night out or a date or just going solo it's going to be a good night out.
I recommend using a truck or suv for the best viewing, the sound comes through the radio so that's cool, the bathrooms are clean, the food is better than you'd expect from many restaurants nearby. What more could you ask for!? Enjoy your evening whoever chooses to come!
Fun way to go to the movies. I suggest bringing a truck, boom box, lawn chairs, pizza and some sodas. Can't beat a double feature! Haven't been to a drive in since I was in elementary school so being able to go to one brought back a lot of memories. It was also the first time my gf has ever been to one and I can say without a doubt we will definitely be coming back here again she loved the experience and wants more of it.
